Fiesal’s Secret: Michamvi Day Trip
Cost: $75 per person
Availability: Fridays/Saturdays from 2pm-8pm
Location: Michamvi village
Explore the unexplored: Michamvi is a local favorite, with white sand beaches and unobtrusive lodging. This beach village is home to Simba & Spice founder Fiesal Ali, and he has created a trip that offers travellers a unique island experience. This trip is available as a day trip but we highly recommend that you contact us about spending a night or two in our hidden paradise!
Start the day by visiting a local seaweed farm to learn about this ancient trade that is an important part of Zanzibar’s modern day economy, and Zanzibari women’s role in seaweed harvesting. Then, arrive at Michamvi beach for a freshly prepared picnic BBQ with seafood, fruit and homemade Swahili treats. After lunch, explore the mangroves by paddleboard or foot, depending on the tides. Prepare for the sunset with drinks at a local beach bar, where you can sway in a hammock and enjoy local music until you’re ready to depart.
