Simba & Spice’s twist on the usual ‘spice tour’ – join village farmers in harvesting spices and cooking a traditional vegetarian meal from scratch! Taste, smell and harvest Zanzibar spices and fruit on this community farm, and learn the importance of community farming to our history and modern life. Learn to cook with our favorites like cloves, vanilla, cinnamon, black pepper, nutmeg, pineapple, lime, papaya, and passion fruit. Enjoy the countryside at a relaxing pace, chat with farmers while you have your lunch, and say goodbye when you’re ready. We only offer this tour once a day, so there is no rush. Pole pole, enjoy Zanzibar local life!

What to Bring:
Sun protection, water. Respectful attire is required.

Included in cost:
Farm guide, community development fee, spice tour, sampling, cooking lesson, lunch & good times!

→ Reserve Now & Pay Later

Reserve your spot online, and pay upon arrival. This system offers transparency in getting your tourist dollars right into the hands of your local guides. It also gives you flexibility, avoids online payment fees, and ensures that your money goes right to your travel guide! As a courtesy, please give us 12 hours notice if you need to make a change. Our small team reserves their time just for you, and fresh food is purchased for your experience. It hurts us if you don’t show up!
